All orders are final and non-refundable once a deposit has been received.
Cancellations
Cancelled orders are subject to a 50% processing fee. Any remaining balance will be issued as a credit to the client’s account.
Lead Times
Standard production time is 4–6 weeks. Lead times may vary depending on material availability and order volume.
Rush Orders
Rush production (under 2 weeks) is available when feasible and subject to a $50 rush fee per shade.
COM Terms & Conditions
All COM (Client’s Own Material) fabrics require test lamination prior to production. Please note that successful test lamination does not guarantee long-term performance, and COM fabrics are not guaranteed to perform as intended.
If a COM fabric fails during lamination or production, the client will be responsible for providing replacement material for the remaking of the shade. Any applied trim, specialty materials, or components that cannot be reused will also be replaced at the client’s expense.
As an alternative, clients may elect to substitute a house fabric in place of a faulty COM; all associated costs will be the client’s responsibility.
Shade Shop will remake any shades affected by COM bubbling using the existing rings, provided that the replacement fabric is supplied and paid for by the client.
Alternatively: The client may choose to assume full responsibility and liability for all COM orders.
COM Selection Guidelines
For optimal lamination performance, natural fiber fabrics (such as cotton, linen, or blends with high natural fiber content) are strongly recommended. These materials generally adhere more effectively to styrene backing.
Synthetic, heavily treated, coated, or high-sheen fabrics may not bond properly to styrene laminate and are more prone to adhesion issues.
All COM fabrics must be submitted for test lamination and approval prior to production. Final approval of the material for lamination will be determined based on the results of this testing.
